How Grounded is your Tree?

#DailyPost

A mighty tree starts as a fragile seedling;

Breaking forth from underneath the soil;

Stretching towards the sunlight;

Survived the changing weather;

The downpour and the scorching sun;

Grew an inch taller again and again;

As it grew into a young plant;

It suffered abuse from all sides;

Animals biting off its frail branches;

Children pulling at its leaves;

Adults trimming it from time to time;

The rains hitting it to the point of breakdown;

The sun withering the leaves away;

But through it all, it survived;

No matter how depleted the leaves became;

It never ceased growing;

Because the roots which held the tree;

Were safely grounded beneath the soil;

Even if the upside was burnt to ashes;

There was always a chance for it to grow again;

Because as long as the roots live;

The tree never dies;

We all began as fetuses in our mothers’ wombs;

Survived all the shocks we received in there;

Made it through delivery;

Endured the pre-talking years;

And passed the crawling and walking tests;

We fell down several times;

But we never gave up;

We then learnt how to run and jump;

As we grew, life dealt with us in varying levels;

Loved ones betrayed us;

Friends quit on us;

Hearts were broken, mended and broken again;

But we survived it all;

Because we were born with the will to survive;

To keep going no matter what;

But if our roots are not well-grounded;

We risk losing it all when our grounds are shaken;

What are you grounded on? Your beauty which fades with age?

Your inheritance which could be lost any day? Your knowledge which eventually gets outdated?

Your network which could alienate you any moment?

What would keep you alive

When everything around you dies?

    Very beautiful Joseyphina ❤ What keeps me grounded is knowing I am made from the same stuff as the trees and all of nature 🙂

    My hope is built on nothing else but Jesus Christ and His righteousness.
    I have an anchor that keeps my soul steadfast and sure when the billows…
    I know I’ve reminded you of that song😊.
    Jesus is my anchor!

    This is an amazing post! I had to think about it for a second because your right, nothing or no one is for certain. I think that is why i try to keep myself motivated for myself by myself.
