First of all, I don’t think I can survive at either. They are not even inhabitable, are they? One just have to quickly finish up whatever business took him to the cold zone and leave as quickly as he can. As for the desert, only those who wish to take the high road to Europe traverse the dry desert. But if I were to be exiled to one of these dreadful locations, which would be less suicidal?
I’m not a big fan of the cold weather. My whole body hurts and a little touch feels a big slap. And when I stuff up my body with heavy clothes, I feel too warm after a few minutes and I’m tempted to shed some off only to put them on all over again. It happens all the time and it gets too frustrating!
No one enjoys an extremely warm weather either. The air feels so dry that just breathing in and out becomes a hectic task. One has to ensure he has enough energy just to breathe. It’s like the oxygen had thinned out and the nostrils have to search for it to draw it in. And the insides are so heated up that a gulp of chilled water just boils over when it goes down the throat. Sweating is just the icing on the cake. It feels like one is being baked literally. Who would want to live in an environment where this experience is a never-ending one? Not me.
At least in Antarctica, one can afford to wear blanket-like covers to get by. On the desert, even light clothes feel like a bother. And one can’t resort to stripping bare to feel better either. In Antarctica, one might have the company of penguins at least but on the desert, what lives there? Can one even grow food there?
As much as I don’t fancy the cold, I can’t imagine myself sweating all day every day for who knows how long.
What about you? Which extreme zone would you rather live in and why? Can’t wait to read your thoughts!

I think I would prefer Antarctica to Sahara Desert. I can’t even imagine living in the desert.

If I had to, I’d take the desert — and find an oasis somewhere…Of course, prefer the beauty of the four seasons we enjoy in my home country!

I know, right? God knows best that’s why He gave us seasons

I think I’d die in either place, so I’d prefer the one that would take me out quickest, which I think would be Antarctica. I think hypothermia would be a less painful way to check out than a really nasty sunburn!

Both horrific, but as you said, at least you can pad up in the cold and hopefully keep a fire going…hopefully

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

For me though, Antarctica ;)) Can you help me confirm my choice by casting your vote here? Pliiiiz ?
