#AtoZchallenge
Why do we breathe? To stay alive. It feels so reflexive that we sometimes forget how vital it is to our well-being. We sometimes find ourselves struggling through life because we’ve been working our bodies out to the point of exhaustion. We wear our brains out with the various issues of this life and we feel ourselves sinking under the pressure. Mostly it’s because we forget to pause and just breathe.
It is good to work and so it is to take a moment and relax. Have you ever had those moments when you need an answer to a question and you know the answer is floating in your brain but someway somehow you just can’t grasp it? The harder you try to catch a hold of it, the farther it gets away from you. Life can get frustrating like that sometimes. You know you have to solve an issue as soon as possible but you can’t seem to find a solution coming your way anytime soon. You get to that point that you give up and out of the blue when your mind is just wandering, the idea you’ve been waiting for just pops up in your head and you say out loud, “Aha!” with a snap of your fingers.
Life is hard as it is and in toiling to secure our future, we deprive ourselves the chance to enjoy the gift of being in the present. We rob ourselves of relishing in the blessings bestowed on us and be grateful for them. There is a reason why God commanded us to take a day of rest on the Sabbath and why every organization demands every employee take his annual leave. It’s not to lazy about; it’s to let out steam and prepare you for what lies ahead.
Once in a while, we need to take a moment from everything that occupies our minds and hearts and just breathe. Breathe in the fresh air and breathe out the frustration. Take a moment to appreciate how far you’ve come and out of that will fresh ideas for advancement come to you. Overworking ourselves brings about early mandatory retirement because you would have worked up every reserve energy you have. But taking time to rest regularly refreshes your system and you can think more clearly.
When you’ve tried everything you possibly can and it’s still proving difficult, step back and breathe. Ask God for directions and follow His lead. Live, work but don’t forget to breathe. Keeping yourself out of breath is suicide; it’s not worth it.
So to all hustlers out there, take a moment and just…breathe. Don’t worry about tomorrow; its troubles will take care of themselves. Commit your ways to God and do your part. Sooner or later, you’ll have the life you’re working towards. Just make sure you don’t find yourself out of breath by the time you get there. Just breathe!

Try morning breathing when you first get up in the morning to relieve muscle stiffness and clear clogged breathing passages. Then use it throughout the day to relieve back tension.

It’s the worst feeling, to be unable to even take in a breath. And in life, unable to handle even one more thing. I’m still learning to stop and take a breath.
