Stand in for me

“Pray for me,” A colleague asks;
“Why me?” You ask back;
“Because I know God would listen to you,” He replies.
Have you ever wondered how “Christian” people think you are? Either, the type who always seems to be talking to God but actually, nothing happens or the type who people can testify that God does listens to. Are you someone people find worthy to call on?

“I don’t know if I’d be able to do this,” A friend admits.
“With God by your side, you will,” You say encouragingly.
“Because of your faith, I know I can do this,” She says reassuringly.

Like a flower that blossoms every morning, does your faith renew itself for someone’s sake?

Some people survive from drawing strength from the unshakable faith you have in God. They have seen your steadfast faith work for God and so they have confidence that in trusting in your God, they are secured.
In desperate times, everyone counts on the one person they know would never fail them; whether in physical help or in prayers. Are you the brother, sister and friend your inner circle or even acquaintances come to when they need help? Are you the one who can stand in for someone and come back with good news?

God only listens to people with upright hearts, without stains of any hatred, bitterness or envy-someone who has been set apart solely for God. Does God listen when you call on Him?

“Stand in for me,” they are pleading;
Because the Lord you proclaim, they see in you;
And you can only help them out if you are right with God;
Because whatever change you are seeking
Must first begin with you.

Ask yourself, “Are you a ‘Go-to’ person who is confident of getting God’s attention whenever you go on your knees on behalf of someone?

    This reminds me of 1 John 5:14, “And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that no matter what we ask according to his will, he hears us.” As long as we strive to do God’s will He will always hear and answer the prayers of his servants.
