Heya! I know it’s been ages since I brought you another favorite show of mine. Person of Interest tells the story of an ex-CIA agent and a wealthy programmer who set out to save lives through the help of a surveillance AI called ‘The Machine’; which sends them the identities of civilians involved in impending crimes. Created by Jonathan Nolan, the series ran for 5 seasons.
1. Where would you rank it among your favorite shows?
Top 60.
2. From 1-10, how obsessed are you?
I love that each episode is a story on its own and reminds me of how satisfying series used to be back in the day. I’ll rate myself at 7.
3. How did you discover the show?
I don’t remember since I’ve had the files for sometime now. A friend must have recommended it.
4. What was your initial thought of the show and did it change after watching it?
I love the idea of having someone coming to a person’s aid at just the right time. I liked how different the main characters were but how well they complemented each other.
5. Why do you like the show?
I like the show because every number The Machine delivers comes with its own drama. The interesting part is, one can’t be sure from the onset if the civilian is a victim or perpetrator of the crime John and Harold are trying to prevent.
Leaving out the details of the crimes, including the civilians’ roles as a mystery is what keeps it suspenseful for me.
6. Favorite episode?
That would be difficult. I’ve enjoyed almost all the episodes.

7. Favorite characters?
John Reese – very hard and tough on the outside but very caring on the inside.
Harold Finch – One of the best bosses you can find.
Lionel Fusco – Funny character but always comes through when he is called upon.
Sameen Shaw – Tough girl but she’s a darling.
Root – Annoying at first but she grew on me.
Joss Carter – Very principled in her ways.
Zoe Morgan – She knew how to take care of herself.
8. Favorite villain?
Carl Elias – He’s the devil you know. Bad guy but he came off useful sometimes.
Patrick Simmons – Bad cop. Period.
Dominic Beeson – he knew how to make a statement.
Peter Collier – Quite an annoying character.
9. If you were to be a character, who would you choose?
Joss is more like me but I wouldn’t mind trying out Miss Shaw.
10. Do you follow the show on Facebook and Twitter?
The series has already ended so there’s no point.
11. Which of the characters would you like to meet?
Sameen and Root.
12. What lesson(s) have you learnt from the show?
Everyone is a person of interest – whether good or bad. And everyone needs some help in difficult situations. Sometimes, in trying to make a situation better, things could turn for the worst. That’s life. Sometimes, things are better left alone. What would you rather choose, your privacy or an artificial intelligence watching out to send help at just the right time? Let me know.
Did you ever watch Person of Interest? What did you like about the show? Kindly share your thoughts and thanks for reading.

I watched Person of Interest last year during the pandemic lockdown and I must say I loved it. Like you, I enjoyed every episode, so much to look forward too and the tension was just right. John Reese and Finch were my favorite characters.

I watched Person of Interest during the middle of the pandemic and loved it at first. I completed all of the seasons but lost some interest (no pun intended) when Joss was killed. I loved her! I loved Sameen also but Root I tolerated. She annoyed me with every scene she was in and her character just wasn’t that believable to me. The concept of the show was pretty much just like Batman. I guess that’s what I should expect from a show created by the Nolan’s.
