WBC #25: Proud of these brands!

Local brands doing the most in my country

Ghana is breaking forth with innovative persons who are creating solutions for the people. Thanks to the digital era we find ourselves in, life seems to be getting easier and better each day.

These are a few of the local brands striving to make a mark not only in the country but on the continent.

Glitz Africa

This is an aspirational brand that seeks to highlight the lifestyle of the contemporary African in an exciting way. It produces the Glitz Africa Magazine every quarter which happens to be the leading lifestyle magazine in Ghana.

Aside the magazine publications, Glitz Africa organizes three flagship events each year:
Ghana Women of the Year Honours which celebrates women who are doing exploits in various fields of endeavor;
Glitz Style Awards – which recognizes personalities in diverse spheres of influences with great style and fashion sense;
Glitz Africa Fashion Week – this provides the platform for established and upcoming designers from Ghana and Africa to showcase their creative designs to an international audience. There are also seminars, exhibitions and presentations for people to enjoy.

And guess what, I work with Glitz Africa! I’m proud to be part of the team working hard to achieve the goals set by our amazing and ambitious CEO, Claudia Lumor.

If you’re in Ghana, kindly pick up a copy of our latest magazine and read an inspirational article by yours truly. T for thanks.

MTN Ghana

This is by far the best and most efficient network in the country. Though their data packages are relatively more expensive than the other service providers, the quality of service makes it worth it. They do practice what they preach when they mention their slogan ‘Everywhere you go’. You can get their signal almost everywhere (except cemeteries lol) and their 4G network is the real deal unlike another one I know…

Ecobank Ghana

I’m sure I’ve mentioned in an earlier post that I love Ecobank. The first reason was their good customer service but now I have another one: their mobile app! Very versatile in its functions and every efficient.

Skin Gourmet

First of all, I just love the name. Sounds very chic. It produces pure natural hair and skincare products with ingredients sourced from wild nature. And they also make natural, edible and nutritious products as well. I know it will grow into a very big brand soon.

What are your top local brands and why? Kindly share and thanks for reading.
