Dilemma Of  The Seed Inside  Us🌱

(c) Google Images

The seed has just one mandate;

To grow into another tree;

And produce many more fruits;

In which it was found.

But before it can,

It has to die first;

And be reborn.

But it can’t grow by itself;

It needs soil to grow from;

It has no control where

It would be planted;

It can only hope;

To be placed in a good one;

A seed needs soil more than its size;

In order to thrive;

Planting a seed in a teaspoonful of soil;

Because it’s tiny is totally out of line;

It needs something bigger than itself to grow.

A seed with all its potential;

Is limited to the kind of soil it’s planted in;

Plant it in a shallow ground;

And it will have a stunted growth;

Eventually wither and die;

Plant it in a crowded place;

And it will choke to death;

Drop it into a good soil;

And out of it will emerge a mighty tree;

We all have something great inside us;

Something bigger than us;

Waiting, hoping to be birthed out;

But not all our soils are promising;

Some find themselves in the most poisonous of environments;

Choked with green envy and red jealousy;

Narrow vision and mentality;

Apathy and pull him/her down syndromes;

Self-doubt and negative influence;

Which are crippling our divine potential;

Leaving us to be a faint shadow of what we must be;

Don’t blame God or the universe;

For conspiring against you;

God has given you what you need to start;

And when you take the first step;

He’ll show you what else He has in store;

Maybe you need to uproot yourself;

Out of your shallow ground;

And enter the rich deep ground;

Prepared specially for you to thrive;

Or maybe you feel comfortable where you are right now;

Because you’re getting the best out of your soil now;

But just like every nursed seedling has to be

Transported to the main field;

Don’t panic when you feel your roots being shaken up;

Your time is up at the nursery;

It’s time to move to the field;

And grow to be the mighty tree you’re meant to be;

With its many branches to provide comfort to others;

And satisfying fruits to many others.

And with each fruit enjoyed;

Would be found yet another seed to sow.

Cherish your seed;

Nurture it wholeheartedly;

Generations are counting on you.

    This poem is for me. As one of the most buried seeds now growing in the Lord’s favor and nourishment, this indeed my story in poetry. A message from the universe to me, through you. Thanks Josephina!

It is a beautiful reminder that God sees value in all of us..and He gives us all the time/tools/soil we need..there really is no point asking to leave the nursery till you learn the basics!!
