I stretched my arm as long as I could;
Opened my hand as wide as possible;
Hoping to reach for what stood right before me;
But like a mist;
It disappeared from my grasp;
Tried so many times;
Kind of feels like I’m chasing cars;
Hoping to catch up but always being being left behind;
It must have been disheartening for Moses;
To behold the Promised Land;
And yet not able to set a foot on it;
It would have been better;
Not to even know of it in the first place;
As one only gets disappointed;
When one has an expectation to begin with;
Feels like the harder you try to reach for it;
The farther it gets away from you;
You try to ignore it and move on;
But it keeps staring at you in the face;
Making you want to try again;
But it seems fate is fond of;
Playing hide-and-seek with you;
And you’re obviously not enjoying the game;
As you keep losing every round;
Is something you’re yearning for constantly out of reach?
Does it make you feel like you’re perhaps hallucinating?
Are you stuck between giving up and holding on?
Do you keep asking, is it worth at all?
Does it continue to haunt you in your dreams?
Whenever you try forgetting about it?
Is it meant to be or not?
People say, good things come to those who wait;
And great things come to those who chase after it;
But how do you know of when to wait and when to seek?
Is it even meant for you?
Situations may not always play it the way we hope them to;
And simple procedures might prove themselves unthinkably frustrating;
But everything happens for a reason;
Every turn, dive or move is part of the web known as your life story;
You may sense something is for you;
But somehow the happy ending never arrives;
Don’t give up;
He who has brought you this far;
Will certainly bring your life to an expected end.
