Ever had a dream within a dream before?
Ever woken up only to find yourself in yet another dream?
Can you sometimes tell when you’re dreaming?
Or does it always feel like reality till your eyes snap open?
Sometimes we are grateful when we wake up;
Because our reality is way better than our dreams;
No wonder it’s called a nightmare;
But when it is the other way round;
We find ourselves holding on to the dreams;
Hoping never to wake up from them;
Hoping that would be our new reality;
The thing about dreams is that;
They are possible realities;
You let in the ones you find acceptable;
And reject the undesirable;
But in order to do either;
You’d have to first wake up from them;
Dreams can’t come true by merely wishing them to;
Neither do they get realized by daydreaming;
You work out your reality to make them happen;
It might prove harder than you assumed;
But it doesn’t mean you should give up on them;
Seeing a flower garden might look appealing;
But it doesn’t make gardening any easier;
The bigger the dream;
The more effort required;
What is your dream?
How long have you had it?
Where do you nurse it?
When your eyes are closed in sleep;
Or after you blink them open?
Do your dreams scare you?
Keep you hiding from your shadow?
Or do they dare you;
To step out of your comfort zone;
Into a new territory;
In pursuing a dream;
You may find another dream within;
And these may be found;
As long as one is willing to seek them out;
But most of the time, we stop searching;
And pitch our tent by our first find;
Don’t be afraid to dream;
It might be a maze;
But even if you hit a wall;
You can always find another way;
No matter how hard life gets;
Never stop dreaming;
Because the moment you stop;
Is when your living countdown begins.
