Clouds

#DailyPost

We wake up each morning;

And look up to the sky;

To find out how the day is going to be;

Being meteorologists to an extent;

We pick outfits accordingly;

And wear moods to match the day;

Sometimes we are right;

Other times, the weather shows its unpredictable colors;

At times we find white clouds in the sky;

Or they could turn up to be grey;

Other times, we find none and call it a cloudless sky;

Leaving it open for diverse interpretation;

And preparing ourselves for whatever may happen;

We may all wake up to a new day;

But we may view the sky differently;

One’s highly anticipated day;

Would be someone else’s dreadful day;

And could be ‘just another day’ to another;

We all step out expecting different things;

Some would have their expectations met;

Some would be disappointed;

Whiles others had nothing to look forward to at all;

So when you go out in a happy bubble;

Because your skies are blue and your clouds white;

Be sensitive and careful not to step on someone’s toes;

Because the clouds could be awfully grey for another;

And the fact that your clouds are grey for the day;

Doesn’t mean you should turn everyone’s clouds to match yours;

And for those with ‘anything goes’ attitude;

Not everybody sees the sky as cloudless;

And so advise yourself accordingly;

But for those who prepare themselves for what come may;

Would not be perturbed if their clouds were to suddenly change colors;

Because either way, they are covered;

The umbrella which protects us from the rain;

Can equally shield us from the sun’s scorching rays;

Likewise, those who place their trust and hope in God;

Have nothing to fear when situations take a turn for the worse;

For come rain or shine;

They are covered;

Even in the face of uncertainty;

They have the ever faithful One to fight for them;

Color your clouds evergreen;

Because God never sleeps nor slumbers;

No change in weather or circumstance;

Is a surprise to Him;

He is the same yesterday, today and forever;

If He has brought you far;

Then your story is still being written;

Don’t give up on the author

For He’s not done with your script yet;

No matter how your clouds look;

Smile,

For God has you covered.

    We are pretty obsessed with talking about the weather in England so this resonated with me! It also brings to mind the times spent as a child, lying on my back, working out what shapes the clouds could be.
