Blogger Recognition Award

I’ve been planning on putting together a post in honor of the wonderful bloggers who have been loyal readers of my pieces and Sahana nominating me for the Blogger Recognition Award gives me the perfect opportunity to do so. Kindly visit the blog and enjoy the brief but lovely pieces posted. Thanks for granting me the opportunity to not procrastinate anymore, Sahana. Really appreciate it.
Per the rules of accepting the award, I am to:

Write a post to show the award;

Acknowledge the blogger who nominated you;

Give a brief story about how you started blogging;

Give 2 pieces of advice for new bloggers;

Nominate 15 deserving bloggers.
How did Joseyphina’s World come about? I guess it was the hunger to share my thoughts and stories with the world that prompted me to start blogging. At first, the only way I knew how was to publish a book and since I was still schooling and wasn’t earning any income, I figured that dream would have to be realized somewhere in the future. Then there was the website option but didn’t have the funds to purchase a domain and keep renewing it. So I started by posting my pieces on the Faithwriters website. Then I chanced upon a WordPress blog by Wendell Brown and then I discovered it was free to own one. Imagine my excitement!

And it has been an interesting journey ever since. I had to learn the whole process by myself and it took time to master the basics. I’m still learning by the way and I’m grateful to WordPress for creating such a platform for writers like me to share their pieces with the world. 

Another beautiful gift WordPress gave me was the wonderful community of bloggers from all over the world. Although I’ve not met any of them, it feels like I’ve found myself a supportive family from any country I can think of. By sharing their thoughts on my posts, correcting the typos to actually having a conversation on a topic raised in a post, I feel a warm bond with such special bloggers who take time out of their individual schedules to read what I publish. May God bless you all and it is my prayer that our blogging solidarity becomes a more solid one.

Oops, did I get to number 15 already? I might as well show my appreciation to the many others although silent but supportive as well. I wish I could name them all but that wouldn’t be possible. I want to use this opportunity to say I acknowledge your tremendous support for this blog and may we all continue to strive to bring the best of content to hungry readers all over the blog.
