Rebuild

Just as a broken wall can be rebuilt;

And not abandoned and declared useless;

So can an estranged marriage work again;

A messed up life be put back in order;

A broken relationship be restored;

And an abandoned dream be fulfilled;

Even the most solid of concrete walls;

Crack up with time;

And it is just a matter of

Patching it up to make it all right;

It might not be brand new;

But it is still functional;

Giving people second chances;

Might not guarantee a total do-over;

As painful memories seem to linger a bit longer;

But gives the opportunity

To make things stronger;

Rebuilding a broken wall

Must be frustrating;

And so will dreams and relationships be;

When trying to fix them in their broken states;

Tensions are bound to surface once in a while;

Thus calling for a need;

For a constant reminder

Of why that dream, marriage or partnership

Came about in the first place;

And determine to revive it.

As every broken device

Deserves a second chance

To serve your needs;

So does everyone who offends you;

Every quality item breaks down at a point;

How can we expect people to do any better?

Their shortcomings might hurt a big deal;

But it’s never too late;

To rebuild the foundation;

Cover all bases;

Tie up all loose ends;

And keep the cover air-tight.

Give yourself and your dream;

 Your friend or spouse;

Another chance to rebuild;

Might be the best decision

You would have made just yet.

    Simple reminders do help. In a rebuilding relationships especially, it requires all on board. And sometimes people don’t want to let go of the pain and angst. What requires all on board building, then becomes one person’s responsibility. Tough call. I agree with second chances though
