Would You Rather # 29: Have an unlimited gift coupon to a Restaurant or a Clothing Store?

Who doesn’t like free things? It seems the more you earn, the less enough it is to cater for your needs. Maybe that’s why millionaires work harder to earn more and why corrupt public officials continue to embezzle funds regardless of how stuffed their accounts are already. It never feels enough, does it?

Both food and clothes are basic necessities and they both take a chunk of one’s budget depending on what considers more important. Good food is expensive and thus having a free pass to have some doesn’t sound bad at all. For those who fancy restaurant meals, this would mean the world to them. And for the fashionistas, it would be a dream come true.

For the average person, it would take a special occasion for one to eat at a restaurant like a birthday or anniversary. Similarly, one would enter a clothing store when she thinks she needs a wardrobe upgrade or she needs a new attire for an event. But which one do you frequently enter on a normal basis?

As much I enjoy good food, I am not a fan of eating out. I prefer to sit in front of the TV where I can take my sweet time to finish my meal. Neither am I particular in following the latest trend in fashion so the clothing store isn’t my usual go-to place. But to possess an unlimited gift coupon could persuade me to change the habit a little bit, couldn’t it?

Maybe I’d choose the free gift coupon for the clothing store. I’m more drawn to the homemade kind of meal anyway. As for clothes, I don’t have the skill to make my own so I’d definitely need to patronize the store more.
