The Leibster Award

I have been nominated for this award by Ukatende; and Mawazo for which I deeply appreciate.

The rules of the award state that:
A blogger can nominate up to 10 other bloggers, then create a post announcing the nomination.
The nominated bloggers should have less than 3,000 followers. The first blogger then asks 10 questions to these bloggers. If the nominated bloggers accept, then they create their own post accepting the nomination and linking b k to them to the first blogger, answering the 10 questions, then then nominating other bloggers and asking a new set of questions. The award keeps getting passed on so that readers can discover new blogs.

So my set of questions were:
Audio books or paper books, why?
Paper books all the way. For me, the whole experience of flipping the pages, taking in the texture and scent of the book while consuming the words adds to the enriching moment of reading.

Text or call, why?
It depends. I’m not really the ‘call’ type; I prefer to check up on people via text. But sometimes there is the need to go further than that and actually engage in a voice conversation with the other person.

Any nicknames? What do I prefer to be called?
Yeah, I have a few which I don’t find amusing.  I think I’m okay with just Jo.

When making an entrance into a party, do I prefer to make my presence known? Do I slip in and look for someone I know?
No, I’m not the ‘announce-to-everyone-I’m-here’ type of person. Even in crowd, I prefer to stick to the few people I know.

What is the strangest thing I believed in as a child?
I don’t remember believing in any incredible thing that didn’t turn out to be true later.

What is the most recent compliment I have received and savored?
It would be about my write-ups. Most of the feedback has been encouraging and I really appreciate them.

Do I have a catchphrase? Give details.
I think it would be “It is well.” It’s something I always end up saying or typing out in a chat especially the other person describes a hard day or is in a tough situation. I mention that to comfort to the person and assure that no matter how bad it gets, the end will always be well.

Ronaldo or Messi?
They are both excellent players; Messi is a genius and is almost incomparable but I’ll always be a Ronaldo fan. Why, I don’t know. I’m just a Ronaldo loyalist.

Supposing there’s reincarnation, what famous/infamous person would I like to come back as?
There are so many life stories that have equally inspired and appalled me but I doubt I would like to live as anyone else. I can only live as me.

Would I date me? Why?
Interesting. I like me but I know I’m different from most people. I’d like to meet and get to know people with whom I share similar interests but at the same time are different enough to keep things interesting. I’m already stuck with me; why would I date another me?
