Renewable You!

It is good to sometimes remind ourselves of who we are and in whose Image we were created. My friend and I were talking when she suddenly pointed out how amazing that every single person living on this earth has his or her ‘bar code’-how the identity of every human member of this planet is unique to him/her and how different although similar we all are. We’ve been marked with a unique fingerprint which serves as our bar code used to identify us no matter which corner of the earth we find ourselves.

And the truth is, new people are being birthed into this world every single minute. And every one of them does own his/her own unique identity. What does that tell us? We are special in every way so do not let anyone convince you otherwise!

The one thing that struck me with my friend’s statement was the infinity of God’s creativity. The world has existed for thousands of years and there has not come one day that He has run out of ideas that He would make two people possess the exact same attributes (twins are always different, in case you were wondering) and He never forgets His own.

So if you and I have been created in His image and likeness, it means we should not feel like we are being choked out of this earth and that we are losing our place, our relevance. It is not so.

You are the walking breath of a God who is infinite in wisdom and intelligence-why should you be lacking? God never runs out of ideas whenever He’s creating something new, so why should you?

So wherever you are and whatever you do, you may feel like you’re stuck-you don’t know what next step or turn to take or what else to do with your life but encourage yourself that just as God’s mercies are renewed every morning, so are your talents, abilities and strength. You will soar like eagles and you will not fade away.

You are God’s child and He loves you; don’t fret when you feel stuck; He’s got you. You are not who you were yesterday and you will not be tomorrow who you are today-you’ll be far more than that.

  1. Excellent! And as the mother of twins, though they look alike, they are indeed distinctly different! 🙂
