I’m sure almost everyone’s ears or eyes have heard or read this quote somewhere, “Yesterday is history; tomorrow is a mystery and today is a gift.” I agree with the saying because yesterday is past and gone; no magic in the world can turn back the hands of time. Tomorrow well, we can only plan and hope that all turns well. Today like an assurance renewed, is all we’ve got. So what are we doing with it?
Some people are daring enough to play with fire. Although they know they would get burned, the mere fact that they believe they are doing just fine spurs them on. They laugh when the fire burns their fingers and turn to glance at the one watching them hurt themselves. Sometimes they stay by the fire longer than they wish to just to prove a point; at other times, they wish they could be pulled away before they get burnt too much.
Everyone can attest to the fact that the world isn’t getting any better. Even those who deny God’s existence know that the probability of seeing better days ahead is bleak. Perhaps the universe is failing them?
There is no time left to be playing games with our eternity. It is either you are for God or you are not. Don’t think you can survive by tasting the ‘goodies’ of both sides. Double-minded, standard-living people are the most pitiful in the whole scenario because they lose the most; they neither really enjoy God’s covering nor the ‘pleasures’ of the world. So why not just make up your mind and stick with it?
“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord…” 2 Corinthians 6:17 (KJV)
And those of us watching our relatives, friends and colleagues play with fire, it is about time we got up and reached out to them and pulled them away from the fire before it totally consumes them. Yesterday, no matter how we spent it is behind us and we don’t know we will live to see tomorrow but today, you can help someone break away from the chains of this world.
Don’t give up on anyone who seems hard-hearted to listen to you. Constant prayer with unshaking faith is just enough. God can only produce the harvest if we sow the seed. Let’s pick up our tools to the field of souls and rescue as many as we can. Those who seem far away, just pray on their behalf and God will go ahead of you and save him or her.
Let’s make today and each other day we are blessed with worth it, shall we?
Good day to you all, folks!
