Bounded by chains of self-hatred;
Starved by frustration and despair;
Scarred by flashes of guilt;
And left wounded with nothing but woes.
Guilty you were;
Charged you waited to be;
Of selling your soul to the glamour of the world;
And then left for dead when everything within you had been squeezed out;
Left alone in the dark;
Almost given up on yourself;
Till the doors opened and a beam of light streaked in;
Showing the way as love walked in.
He smiled and gave you a hand to get up;
Showed you mercy instead of judgment;
Offered you freedom as a friend;
And destroyed the chains which were never meant for you in the first place.
As love led you out, you met forgiveness and let it all go;
You held hope in your hand faced the future boldly;
Peace you’ve never had before filled you from the inside out;
And joy was your portion for the rest of your days.
Everything started with love;
Right from the conception of this universe;
They say money makes the world go round;
But I say love keeps it going when money can’t anymore.
