He Preserved Me

Like a bird, He preserved me…

I came to this new land with little or no expectations at all;

I prayed and committed my days here into His mighty hands;

I thought I knew what He was capable of;

Until He showed me another breathtaking dimension of HImself;

 

What I wanted, He never gave me;

What He offered was more than I could imagine;

I always asked for what I thought was good;

But He always gave me what He knew was best for me.

 

Respect, favor, provision and protection rested on me;

Good health I enjoyed like the breeze of fresh air;

Because I had committed my ways to Him;

I wasn’t afraid to be myself anywhere-my reputation was HIs to keep.

He kept me beside the still waters…. 🙂

 

I sometimes doubted what the future held for me;

And I forgot the One that I serve knows the end from the beginning;

So whatever I faced each day was my end manifesting itself;

My future unfolding before my unknowing eyes;

 

I left home ready for another memorable walk with God;

And I must say I have no regrets at all;

Even when He allowed me to stray off a little;

It was because there was something precious for me to learn.
