UNbreakable?

How long does a rope stay strong?

Nothing lasts forever;
The fact that something has stood the test of time;
Doesn’t make it immune to breaking apart;
Staying intact for long doesn’t necessarily mean it stays stronger;
The least trigger of all could be the one thing that could tear it apart;
Let the one who thinks he stands take heed so he doesn’t fall.

We pride in long-surviving friendships and relationships;
Believing that we’ve overcome all that ever break us apart;
But we often underestimate the power of the little things we overlook;
Circumstances that befall us can either make or break us;
So let’s not take any test too lightly.

It is true that long-surviving friendships have the higher chance to make it through it all thanks to experience;
But everything has a limit to what it can take;
Just as a water-body can overflow its banks when the pressure is too much;
So can everyone’s patience run out when it gets to the ‘enough is enough’ stage;
It takes common sentiments like envy, impatience, anger to destroy years of
Love, trust and commitment;

So take time to assess your friendships and relationships;
What are the little things eating up the ties that bind you?
Kill the moth before it breaks you apart;
Because nothing is totally unbreakable.

Girlfriends, let’s make sure no third party breaks us apart;
Being a guy or any other issue;
We are stronger together.

Buddies, don’t throw away years of sticking up for each other;
Because a pretty lady came into the picture;
Life is more than that.

Let’s keep the ties that bind us intact.

  1. I love this! Relationships take work to stay strong and that is why it is so important to communicate verses keeping it ourselves to fester and become like poison killing all that remains.

    Nice one. Says a lot, especially as it relates to the “best friend” syndrome. Only God can be REAL FRIEND. Nice one again…
