What Holds Your Heart in Place?

Faith is like the foundation of a house;
What you build it upon is what really matters;
Some people build it in the sandy nature of what the world offers temporarily;
Wealth, fame, possessions, societies and brotherhoods;
Which the harsh winds of life can pull down anytime it wills;
Leaving them with irreparable broken pieces to gather in vain;

Hope is like the pillar;
Holding the entire house in place;
A crack in just one pillar poses danger to the entire building;
Because united they stand, divided they fall;
Some people hope in things they themselves are not really sure of;
One disappointment in one source crumbles them down;
Because without hope, life is not worth living;

Love is like the roof;
Covering up every space the house possesses;
Preserving the treasures kept in it from the pressures of life;
No matter how hard the rain or the wind, love never leaks;
Dripping drops of bitterness, envy and anger in the home of the heart;
Love keeps the heart pure.

To keep your heart strong, secure and safe;
Why not build your faith on the foundation of Jesus Christ;
Entrust your hope in the pillar of His Word which never fails;
And surround your heart completely His love which is ever unconditional;
Which also helps us live peaceably with all men?

“Faith, hope and love abide but the greatest of these is love”- 1 Cor.13:13

If God’s love abides in your heart, your faith in Him is intact and your hope is assured.

What holds your heart?
