Trust Your Headlights

Traveling on a dark road with no flicker of light miles ahead doesn’t prevent you from driving onward. Feelings of fear and insecurity may set in but they all disappear the minute you put on your headlights.

You give out a sigh of relief because you can now at least see some meters ahead. This is enough to take you to your desired destination. What is important is that you are bold enough to take the next step.

It is the same with the Word of God (the embodiment of Jesus). The word is filled with true assurances that He will never leave nor forsake us. It is ours to claim if only we would believe in it. Life is full of intermittent periods of darkness, despair and bitterness but the joy of being in the Lord is that He has promised that He will be with us always.

You may be in rough patch right now and all you read in the Word is the assurance of good health, peace, prosperity and joy. It depends on us to personalize these promises and speak them to life in us. Where there is life, there is hope. If you know you are alive, there don’t lose hope yet. God isn’t done with you yet.

As God’s Word is like a lamp upon our feet and a light upon our path; let’s trust Him completely, holding nothing back. Let’s take one step at a time, one day at a time…tomorrow will think of itself. What matters is you made it today and God is with you.

Always remember, you don’t need to know where you are going when you know God is the one leading you.

Let God be your headlights…

Have a blessed day, folks!
