Decisions…

We all get to that point in life where we need to take bold steps into our future. It could be making college decisions, what career path to take and the most known is choosing someone to settle down with. It becomes overwhelming for most people when it suddenly dawns on them that that period of parents taking decisions for us are over and it’s time for them to take charge.

We scout for all possible options about how our lives would turn out but it seems there is a loophole in each of them. There is always that tinge of uncertainty if a particular possible choice is the best to take because the moment you make one of the ‘big decisions’, there is no turning back. You would have to see it to the end and trying to reverse the action could destroy everything you have tried to build and would waste a good number of youthful, productive years.

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endures forever” (Psalms 111:10 (KJV). We can never get it right without tapping the wisdom from the Ultimate Source, Jesus Christ. People usually think Christians make a big fuss about referring to God for every little detail in their lives but the truth is, without Christ, we are all null and void.

The most miserable man on earth is the one who lives without Christ

-because all he is doing is going round in circles; still not aware of where he is and where he is going.

In Christ, there is no need to worry about what to do after college, when and whom to settle down with. It is all in His plan; yours is to obey His Word and walk in His steps, His is to open the doors and direct your path. No matter what the decision is, don’t think it’s unimportant to draw God’s attention to it because whatever concerns you is a matter of vital interest to Him. Let Him in so He can fix your issues for you. He’s just a prayer away.

Have a blessed day, folks!

It’s not a ‘suggestion’ that we “take no thought for our [own] lives,” it’s actually a commandment…as well as “cast all your care upon the Lord, for He cares for you.” Life indeed becomes much easier when we seek the help of Someone Who’s actually smarter than us. Thank you for a wonderful post, Joseyphina!
