Watch Your Words…

Words are more than mere combination of alphabets;
Words are more powerful than we think because words are meaningful;
So be careful of what you say because words can build somebody up or break him down;
The damage caused by a word uttered can be equaled to that caused by a natural disaster;
Because words uttered can redefine someone’s personality and self-esteem;

Don’t say anything at all if you have nothing pleasant to say about someone;

Don’t speak before you think because once the words come out, they cannot be retracted;
Don’t talk recklessly; someone’s life is as stake as you speak.

If you’ve been hurt by some words someone said thoughtlessly about you;
Pray for grace to let it go and know that you are one in a kind;
There is not and never will there be another you;
You are worthy to be loved; you are worthy to be appreciated for what you can do;
Strive to be the best you can be and let your enemies wallow in their shame.

Please guard our lips as we step out this day;
Help us to edify and encourage each other;

Prompt us from hurting others with our words;

And even when we do, convict us to quickly ask for pardon;
So we don’t destroy someone’s self-image;
Amen.

Let’s watch our words today, folks! Have a blessed day!
